History of My Heart - My Journey thru Domestic Violence

October 2018

This poetry collection reflects my life as a survivor of sexual abuse, domestic violence, and battery. As I finished writing these poems and began to assemble them to read aloud in the open mic poetry group in my community, I watched the faces of my audience when I read the poems...  It became clear that my experiences were important to share with others. That just maybe they could help another person survive. I hope this is not too lofty a goal. I hope it helps.

1. 0 out of 5 stars Excellent. Beautiful and powerful collection.
Reviewed in the United States on September 10, 2019

"...raw, touching, dark- yet full of hope and light and healing. It’s memoir meets poetry that becomes a poignant testament of survival and becoming. So much to reread and digest... and remind myself."
